Chelsea Women international call-ups for November and December
The international window is soon upon us and a number of Blues are set to represent their respective nations. Here is who will be in action...
Sonia Bompastor’s side are guaranteed to go into the international break sitting atop the Women’s Super League and we could extend our advantage at the summit when we play our game in hand against Manchester United this weekend.
A number of our Blues will be looking to replicate their fine form when they go off and compete for their countries, with some set to be in European Championship qualifying play-off action, while others will be contesting friendlies.
A Chelsea quartet - Hannah Hampton, Millie Bright, Lucy Bronze, and Aggie Beever-Jones - have been called up to the England squad for their friendly matches against the United States at Wembley on 30 November and Switzerland on 3 December at Bramall Lane.
For Bright, Hampton and Beever-Jones, they could reunite with former Chelsea manager Emma Hayes who will lead her USA team in her home country for the first time since taking the reins earlier this year.
Sjoeke Nusken has been named in the Germany squad for their friendlies away to Switzerland on 29 November and at home to Italy on 2 December.
There will be Chelsea representation when the Netherlands take on China and the USA at home, with midfielder Wieke Kaptein and defender Veerle Buurman - who is spending the season on loan at PSV - both called up. These matches will take place on 29 November and December 3, respectively.
We will bring you news of the rest of our Chelsea Women international call-ups in this article in due course.
