Cancer is an illness that no one should ever have to go through, as it is the kind that only brings suffering to those who have it, and not just them but also their loved ones. Norman Ceasar, author of the inspiring book “Cancer Winner,” inspires many because he took charge of his life by emerging victorious over the big C.
Norman recently guested on the syndicated radio program “America Tonight with Kate Delaney,” in which he talked about his book and his journey and victory over cancer.
“I had to get my physicals ever since the age of 35. One of my patrons on my route was an older guy. I just talk to him all the time. He knew I had a family, I had kids, so one day, he stopped me because every time I go to his house to deliver mail, he would be outside working the yacht. He would come down at the bottom of the steps and get the mail so I wouldn’t have to walk up the steps, and we would have a little conversation. One day, he asked me, and he said, ‘Listen, do you get your physicals and blood work done?’ and I said, ‘No.’”
After hearing that advice, Norman took better care of his health, not only for himself but also for his loved ones. Soon after, he found out that he had prostate cancer. The good news is that they detected it at an early stage. Norman became so worried about the results, but thankfully, he has now conquered it, thus motivating him to go through with what needed to be done.
From following a friend’s advice to going to the doctor regularly, following a medical professional’s advice, and, most of all, living a healthy lifestyle, cancer survivor Norman Ceasar aims to inspire men, especially those at risk or battling prostate cancer. His story is inspirational and, at the same time, a call to all men to get cancer screening.
