Porsche has appointed Li Nan as Vice President of the Technical Division at Porsche China in Shanghai, underlining its ‘in China for China’ approach.

As a native of China, he will continue to drive the rapid integration of innovative and competitive technology in Porsche cars. The Technical Division will expand to include local procurement and quality assurance activities and will now operate under the name "China One R&D", reporting to Porsche China CEO. This step aims to align the sports car manufacturer’s products and services even more closely with the needs of the Chinese customers.

To ensure a seamless integration of the development work in Shanghai and the headquarters in Weissach, Li Nan has been working at the central development site in Germany for the last six months. He reported directly to Sajjad Khan and worked closely with teams from across a number of areas. The intention was to create synergies and ensure a seamless transfer of knowledge.
