DeFi Water Bond Challenge to Meet UN Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs)
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. That is why we partner with local change agents. We want to finance this! Not through donations or one-off kindness, but via sustainable financial instruments such as an interest-bearing bond, the DeFi Hunger & Poverty Water Bond" - Cees J. Hesp, Chairman, oikosnomos.world
A real “Blockchain for Good” holiday project has been launched to bring technology, social good, SDGs, climate, and health together for a Hunger & Poverty initiative in Namibia, Africa. A not-for-profit group, OikosNomosWorld, has challenged developers, engineers, financial, and healthcare pioneers to develop a solution to finance a water tap in the desert, for people in Namibia; contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals to impact no poverty, zero hunger, work and economic growth, and reduced inequalities.
Blockchain in Healthcare Today (BHTY) is the landmark international public access journal that amplifies and disseminates platform approaches in healthcare and distributed ledger technology research and innovations.
Together, OikosNomosWorld and BHTY journal are sharing the challenge to develop a solution for this initiative that includes:
1. How to sustainably finance this project? For example, an interest bearing bond, such as a DeFi Hunger & Poverty Water Bond?
2. Identify the technology to get it done. For example, perhaps a mobile app is best suited for project execution?
3. Submitting written solutions are required, a maximum 2,000 word article report describing a SOLUTION for the detailed purpose, description, and case use located at

The Deadline for Submission is March 15, 2025. The journal submission portal is located ay
