Northrop Grumman Elects Melanie Heitkamp Corporate Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer; Ann Addison to Retire


FALLS CHURCH, Va. – WEBWIRE

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) announces that its board of directors has elected Melanie Heitkamp corporate vice president and chief human resources officer, effective Feb. 3. She will succeed Ann Addison, who has announced her intent to retire effective March 28. Heitkamp will report to Kathy Warden, chair, chief executive officer and president, and oversee the company’s human resources organization.

“Melanie is a highly respected business leader, and with her HR expertise and experience across multiple industries, I’m confident she’ll help further shape our strong culture, employee experience and company performance,” Warden said.

Heitkamp is currently vice president of human resources in the company’s Space Systems sector. Previously, she was the company’s vice president of talent. Heitkamp joined Northrop Grumman in 2020 from L3 Technologies where she served as its chief human resources officer. Prior to this, she held senior leadership positions at Leidos and Lockheed Martin. Melanie also held HR roles with Target Corporation and served as a management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Dickinson College and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University.
