Author’s Biography:
Maria Alice has been writing poems throughout her life. She was born and raised in a multicultural community where family and community values outweigh individuals’ values. She moved from Brazil to study English, like many immigrants and many who came after her. She worked all the way through school, studied hard, and graduated earning a Master of Science in Counseling. Maria Alice is the author of two published books, Body and Life Short Story and Times Short Stories.

She is a very hard worker and a very dedicated person who is very intently interested in education. People who know her say she has a gift of kindness and of helping others see and feel how good they are. She has always encouraged people to reach their dreams and understand their visions.

Her holistic approach to helping others. Find ways to learn day-by-day with each other to guide transformation and learn how to go further to keep going on the journey. She earned her AA degree in Literature and Language from City College Sacramento, a B.S. in International Business, and a Master of Science in Counseling from California State University, Sacramento.
