KEA Memphis unveils new store design on January 15
IKEA U.S. is pleased to announce the unveiling of the IKEA Memphis new-store design on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. The festivities will kick off at 11 A.M. with a spectacular ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring the fabulous HGTV personality, Carmeon Hamilton.
Located at 7900 IKEA Way, Cordova, TN, in the bustling Wolfchase Shopping Corridor at I-40 and Germantown Parkway, IKEA Memphis has been completely redesigned to better serve the vibrant Memphis community. This revamped store is the only IKEA in Tennessee, bringing the beloved brand closer to many more customers.
One of the standout features of the renovation is the brand-new Central Planning Hub. Here, IKEA experts will be on hand to help customers plan and order home furnishing solutions for kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms, offering personalized support for all your project needs.
Javier Quiñones, CEO and Chief Sustainability Officer of IKEA U.S., stated, "We’ve been enhancing store formats to increase convenience, make delivery more affordable, and connect with customers where they live, work, and socialize. IKEA Memphis marks a key milestone in our journey towards a more connected and accessible IKEA experience for all"
The updated Showroom and IKEA Markethall will now offer an array of convenient services, including Click and Collect, Kitchen Measuring and Installation, TaskRabbit, and specialized support for Memphis business owners through the IKEA for Business team. These enhancements are designed to make shopping at IKEA more convenient and tailored to our customers’ needs.
Food enthusiasts, rejoice! The store will also feature a spacious 100+ seat Swedish Restaurant and a Swedish Food Market, where you can purchase delicious food to take home. Plus, the Swedish Bistro will offer quick takeaway items for those on the go.
“We are deeply grateful to the Memphis community for their patience and support during our renovation,” said Michael Matteson, Market Manager. “We are beyond excited to invite everyone to the grand reopening of IKEA Memphis. Let’s celebrate together as we unveil our new and improved store!”
IKEA is committed to enhancing the customer experience with a variety of customer meeting points and locations that complement each other and meet people’s diverse needs. Alongside renovations like IKEA Memphis, IKEA U.S. has made significant investments to boost its e-commerce experience and service offerings, including new IKEA Family benefits, lower-priced shipping and delivery, Click & Collect, and TaskRabbit assembly services.
