MedTechVets Appoints Michael Minogue as Next Chairman of Board of Directors

 MedTechVets, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to helping military veterans transition and find a career with purpose in the Medical Technology  Industry through education, mentoring, and networking, is pleased to announce that Michael  Minogue will be returning as the next Chairman of the Board effective January 14, 2025 for a  proposed term of two years. Mr. Minogue is the founder of MedTechVets and former Chairman of  the organization from 2012-2020.

Mr. Minogue succeeds Patrice Sutherland, after her two-year term, who will continue to support the  organization as a Board member. Under Ms. Sutherland’s leadership, MedTechVets furthered its  mission through expanding its partner company network, working closely with AdvaMed, and  providing valuable resources through multiple 7-week Foundational programs to Veterans with an  85% placement rate.

Together with the whole MTV team, we have managed a program designed to support  transitioning Veterans during a critical point in their lives and assist them in obtaining careers with  purpose. The fellows, mentors and partner companies have been amazing to work with and I am so  pleased to pass the baton to the founder and original Board Chair, Mike Minogue. I know under Mike’s steady hand we will continue to grow our mission of helping our fellow Veterans,” said Ms.  Sutherland.

MedTechVets looks forward to an exciting  future with Michael Minogue back at the helm, furthering its mission to bridge the gap between  military service and the medical device industry.” 

Mr. Minogue currently serves as the President and CEO of Minogue Consulting & Heartwork Capital  and also as a Strategic Advisor for EW Healthcare Partners. Mr. Minogue founded MedTechVets in  2012 with the vision of offering transitioning military veterans meaningful careers. He brings leadership experience in both the military as a West Point graduate and Infantry Platoon Leader in  the Army and as a medical device industry executive, serving 19 years as Chairman, President, and  CEO of Abiomed Inc.
