NFL Announces Nominees for 2024 Pepsi® Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Year

The National Football League today announced the six finalists for the 2024 Pepsi® Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Year award.

The winner will be selected by a fan vote through nfl.com/rookies and through the end of the voting period on Friday, Jan. 31, fans will be able to learn more about the Rookie of the Year finalists on NFL and Pepsi social media channels.
The 2024 Pepsi Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Year award winner will be recognized during Super Bowl Week in Las Vegas and presented with a custom, Pepsi Zero Sugar-themed trophy.
The six finalists were selected for their outstanding performances this season. Each week, six nominees were chosen for the Pepsi Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Week and fans voted for the winner on NFL.com. Those results were used to help determine the finalists.
A closer look at the finalists:
- Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers led all tight ends in receptions (112) and receiving yards (1,194) this season. Bowers recorded the most receptions by a rookie in a season all-time and the third-most receptions by a tight end in a season in NFL history. He also recorded the most receiving yards by a rookie tight end in NFL history.
- Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels led all qualified rookie quarterbacks in passer rating (100.1), completion percentage (69.0), rushing yards (891) and rushing touchdowns (six), and ranked second in passing yards (3,568) and touchdown passes (25). Daniels had the highest completion by a qualified rookie quarterback ever, the most rushing yards by a rookie quarterback in NFL history and the fourth-highest passer rating by a qualified rookie quarterback all-time. He also won 11 Pepsi Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Week this season, setting a record for most Pepsi Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Week awards won by any player.
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving led all rookies in scrimmage yards (1,514), rushing yards (1,122) and rushing touchdowns (eight). He had eight games with at least one rushing touchdown, the most such games by a rookie in franchise history.
- New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers ranked second in receptions (109) and receiving yards (1,204) as well as tied for fourth-most touchdown receptions (seven) among rookies this season. Nabers recorded the second-most receptions by a rookie in a season in NFL history. He had 14 games with at least five receptions this season, the most games with five-or-receptions by a rookie all-time.
- Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix led all rookie quarterbacks in completions (376), passing yards (3,775) and touchdown passes (29), and ranked second in passer (93.3) and rushing touchdowns (four). Nix became the first rookie quarterback ever with seven games with multiple touchdown passes and no interceptions, and with multiple games with at least 300 passing yards four touchdown passes and a passer rating of 140-or-higher.
- Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. ranked third in the NFL with 1,282 receiving yards, and first in touchdown receptions (10) and third in receptions (87) among rookies this season. Thomas Jr. became the fourth rookie in the Super Bowl era with at least 1,100 receiving yards and 10 touchdown receptions. He recorded at least 75 receiving yards in his final seven games of the season, the second-most consecutive such games by a rookie in NFL history.
This is the 24th year with Pepsi as the Official Soft Drink of the NFL and the 23rd year that Pepsi will present the NFL Rookie of the Week and NFL Rookie of the Year award.
