Mango, one of the leading international fashion groups, is moving forward in the growth and internationalisation of its Mango Teen youth line, with its first physical store in Portugal. Almost four years after its launch, the Teen line has opened its third standalone store outside the Spanish market, in Lisbon, in the Vasco da Gama shopping centre, located in Parque das Nações.

[p"The opening of the first Mango Teen store in Portugal shows our desire to continue to inspire and bring our passion for fashion to the younger public" explains Berta Moral, Director of Mango Kids and Teen. "This is another step in our commitment to the international expansion of Mango Teen, which we began last year and which we will continue to strengthen in the coming months to consolidate a global offer that responds to all segments, from women to men, children and teenagers.”[/p]

The new 200 m2 store incorporates the Mediterranean-inspired New Med concept, which embodies the spirit and freshness of the brand. Sustainability and architectural integration are key in this new design, which conceives the Mango store as a Mediterranean home with different rooms in which warm tones and neutral colours predominate, combined with traditional, handcrafted, sustainable and natural materials.

In the coming months, Mango will expand its youth line in the Portuguese market with a new Mango Teen store in the UBBO shopping centre in Amadora. In addition, over the course of 2025, the company plans to increase its capillarity in Portugal with two flagship stores with Woman, Man and Kids ranges in Porto and in the south of the country.

The expansion of Mango Teen is part of the company’s 4E 2024-2026 Strategic Plan, which was created to promote Mango’s differentiated value proposition, its commitment to innovation and sustainability and to increase sales through major expansion of its store network, and the growth of all its lines and channels.

The growth of Mango Teen

Mango Teen was founded in 2021 with the aim of satisfying the fashion needs between childhood and adulthood, presenting attractive alternatives for young people. "The line fills an existing gap in the market and leads the way with current, fresh and youthful designs, setting the pace for contemporary young fashion" Moral points out.
Combining classic with contemporary touches and innovative, eye-catching prints, the line features a wide variety of garments ranging from clothing to footwear, accessories and sportswear, making it possible to create complete and adaptable outfits for a variety of key moments from everyday to evening plans and formal events.

In its early days, Mango Teen was marketed through the online channel in around 50 markets, as well as in pop-up stores in major cities in Spain and with a permanent physical offer in Mango Kids stores. In 2022, the first standalone stores of the youth line opened and in 2023 and 2024 Mango Kids and Teen recorded double-digit turnover growth.

Last year Mango Teen began an ambitious expansion plan with around fifteen store openings in Spain and international expansion with its first own store outside the Spanish market in London, near Carnaby, one of the most vibrant districts of the city centre. In the summer it also opened a store in Andorra, in the Illa Carlemany shopping centre in Escaldes. By the end of 2024, the line had more than 40 stores and a presence in 95 markets through the multi-line and online channels.

The forecasts for 2025 include continuing to increase the physical offer of Mango Teen at an international level by arriving in Portugal, as well as consolidating its presence in Spain with more than fifteen store openings.
