“Because” by Carla Atkinson Will Be Displayed at the Hollywood Book Confab & 2025 L.A. Times Festival of Books

The self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet will display the book “Because: A Tale of Two Loves” by Carla Atkinson at two upcoming book events this April in California: the Hollywood Book Confab on April 23-24, 2025 and 2025 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books (LATFOB) on April 26-27, 2025, at the University of Southern California (USC) campus, Los Angeles.

At the Hollywood Book Confab organized by ReadersMagnet, authors share the stories behind their works, storytelling tips and strategies, and perspectives on their lives or book subjects, among other topics. Founded in 1996 and hosted by USC, the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books is the nation’s largest free public event celebrating literature. Carla Atkinson has always been dedicated to working with children. She pursued a career in child care with a BA in Psychology and has accumulated 50 years of experience. With Jim, Carla developed programs for six group homes, a foster family agency, and a special education school while raising eight to twelve children at a time in their own home.

Today, Jim and Carla are proud grandparents to 126 and even prouder great-grandparents to 26.
