Team Flight School from Montreal, Quebec has won the International NFL Flag Championships at the 2025 Pro Bowl Games in Orlando, Florida.

Young athletes from 13 countries traveled to the U.S. to compete in a three-day flag football tournament to showcase their skills and connect with peers from around the world, before watching NFL superstars compete in the sport.

Fast-paced and accessible for all, flag football is one of the fastest growing sports globally with women and girls driving some of the largest growth in participation. NFL Flag is the official flag football program of the NFL — working to bring the non-contact version of American football to young athletes worldwide.

The International NFL Flag Championships featured teams of boys and girls across the U12 division from five of the seven continents.

“It has been a fantastic three days of competition in Orlando, with 13 teams of talented boys and girls from across the world showcasing their skills on a global stage,” said Afia Law, International NFL Flag. “The International NFL Flag Championships continues to drive our excitement for the growth of the sport worldwide and for these young athletes their passion, energy and competitive spirit has been incredible. Congratulations to Team Flight School!”

“I’m at a loss for words. This was such a big moment for our team, and for Canada, and we got it done,” said Coach Jamil Springer. “Perseverance is really what drove Flight School to win the International NFL Flag Championships this season and we are so proud of all the effort these kids have put in.”

Canada’s Flight School met Japan’s Shonan Seabreeze in the championship game on the field at Camping World Stadium, winning 28-0 to be crowned the 2025 champions showcasing the global reach of flag football and the incredible youth talent from across the world.

All competing teams will watch the 2025 Pro Bowl Games up close to see AFC and NFC stars play the sport firsthand, on the same field as the championship game.

Flag football will officially be included in the LA 2028 Olympic Games program, led by efforts of the International Federation of American Football (IFAF) and supported by the NFL.
