About the Author

Debra Lee Fader is the founder and president of Diversity-USA, formerly known as the Cultural Diversity Council-UMNRV. This queen of kindness has found joy and fulfillment in sharing the value of giving. She finds meaning in teaching people how to use kindness as a way of giving back to their community.

A dedicated servant to the Lord and to the people, she served as the Mayor of Montevideo, Minnesota, from 2010 to 2018. She was also the Vice President of the Minnesota Mayors Association from 2016 to 2018, representing more than 700 mayors across various cities in Minnesota. Advocating for rural economic development, she served for six years on the Upper Minnesota Valley Regional Development Commission Board of Directors. Additionally, Debra was the co-owner of the Sportsmen Inn from 2007 to 2018.

She is a music and theater graduate of the United States International University School of Performing and Visual Arts in San Diego. She is also the owner and executive director of Lionessa Records and Entertainment.

During the 1980s and 1990s, she worked with Norwegian Cruise Lines, Royal Cruise Lines-Disney Cruise, and Carnival Cruise Lines as a headliner, singing, dancing, and performing her internationally renowned cabaret act.

Debra Lee Kristian, as she is known to her Latin American and Puerto Rican audience, was the first Minnesotan to be featured as a regular weekly guest star on Luis Vigoreaux Presenta, a popular variety show in the Caribbean. She also starred on stage in Las Vegas in the Stardust Hotel production Lido de Paris. Throughout her career, she has played principal roles in major American musicals in both the U.S. and Canada and has appeared in films, commercials, and cable TV programs.

Debra Lee Fader is also the author of two Amazon bestselling books. The first, The Key to Authenticity: Unlocking the Code to Fulfilling Life and Business, was co-authored with Jack Canfield. The second, Rise Up: Ignite Your Inner Fire, was co-authored with Lisa Nichols.

Additionally, Debra is launching her new TV show, Queen of Kindness TV, on Preach the Word Worldwide Network TV, based in Atlanta, Georgia. The show features both recorded and live scenes filmed from Hollywood on Main Event Center in Montevideo, Minnesota. The first episode is currently being put into rotation.
