Valentine Harris was born in Jamaica and immigrated to the U.S. in 1981, settling in Maryland. He began working at 14, later becoming a nursing assistant, showcasing his dedication to service. In 2001, Harris enlisted in the U.S. Army as a food service specialist for 20 years while earning an MBA in Healthcare Management. After retiring in 2021, he focused on politics and community engagement. His book reflects his journey as an immigrant, veteran, and healthcare worker, aiming to inspire readers to embrace growth, change, and active participation in shaping their future.
