Airbnb is pleased to share the latest recipients of Airbnb Community Fund grants, which include more than 160 organizations making a difference in 30+ countries across six continents.

Launched in 2020, the Airbnb Community Fund is a $100 million initiative to directly support local communities and the people who live there. Each year, Airbnb donates to organizations that are supporting and strengthening communities around the world, including donations made in partnership with local hosts in many of these communities.

Each year, we’re proud to partner with hosts to identify important issues and many of the non-profit organizations to receive donations. Airbnb hosts are deeply connected to their communities and by involving them in this process, we aim for the Fund to drive meaningful local impact. As in previous years, hosts helped direct a majority of the donations.

The Airbnb Community Fund in action

To date, the Airbnb Community Fund has distributed more than $36 million to non-profit organizations in nearly 70 countries, with hosts providing input each year. Organizations who previously received Airbnb Community Fund grants have shared how these donations have supported their work:

Pro Mujer, Mexico:

Support from the Airbnb Community Fund has helped Pro Mujer deliver content and tools enabling 145 entrepreneurial women in Southeast Mexico to develop professional skills while strengthening their businesses. In this program, 98% of participants reported making improvements to their businesses and 80% reporting enhanced confidence in their leadership abilities.

Himalayan Environmental studies and conservation Organization (HESCO), India:

The activities supported by the Airbnb Community Fund supported HESCO’s mission of fostering sustainable rural development, empowering local communities, preserving cultural heritage, and capturing the authentic essence of homestays. With Airbnb’s support, HESCO trained 370+ community members in homestay development, fostering growth in local tourism and generating income for participants.

“With the generous grant from the Airbnb Community Fund, we are now advancing recovery efforts in Suzu City, Ishikawa Prefecture, which suffered severe damage from both the Noto Peninsula Earthquake and a heavy rainfall disaster the same year. We will focus on preserving and revitalizing the local community through traditional culture and artistic expression, contributing to both economic and cultural renewal. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for this meaningful contribution.” — Retsu Fujisawa, Representative Director at RCF
