Dorothy Dann Combines Narrative-Systems Approach with Church Leadership in Guide Soon to Exhibit at Two Book Events This April in California
To share the stories of independent authors, ReadersMagnet will hold the Los Angeles Book Confab and exhibit at the 2025 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. At both events, among the compelling works that will be displayed include “Intervention in Church Conflict” by Dorothy R. Dann. The book is a groundbreaking guide that uses the most innovative approaches in organizational leadership and applies them in the church setting.
“While rooted in church conflict, Dann’s strategies resonate with leaders across various fields—from education to the workplace—anywhere people and differing opinions coexist.”
As part of its mission to share the stories of many independent authors, the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet has been hosting its own book events in addition to joining different book fairs in the country and abroad. A number of books exhibited by the company had been written by Christian thought leaders. One leader whose work will be displayed by ReadersMagnet at two upcoming events this April in California is Dorothy R. Dann.
Dann is a retired United Methodist pastor who also has a background in organizational leadership. Her book, “Intervention in Church Conflict: A Narrative-Systems Approach,” will be exhibited at two upcoming events this April in California:
- the 2025 Los Angeles Book Confab on April 23-24, 2025, at the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City, 555 Universal Hollywood Dr., Universal City
- the 30th Los Angeles Times Festival of Books (LATFOB), on April 26-27, 2025, at the University of Southern California campus, Los Angeles
“Intervention in Church Conflict” is aimed specifically toward Christian leaders who want to better understand the complex dynamics of conflict within congregations. Dann herself has had experience with a divided church and realized just how effective the knowledge of systems and therapy proved in healing those rifts. From shifting the focus on “the problem” within the congregation to “the motivation” within individuals and groups, her book aims to guide readers towards a more hopeful and proactive leadership in the church.
And of course, the challenges she faced and overcame also served to affirm her lifelong passion for developing people into the leaders that God calls them to be.
Those who want to check out the display for “Intervention in Church Conflict: A Narrative-Systems Approach” by Dorothy R. Dann can simply drop by the Los Angeles Book Confab or visit ReadersMagnet’s exhibit at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books at booth #225. Get a copy today on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
