William B. Lawson, MD, PhD, author of “African American Health: Peeling Back the Layers for a Vision of the Future”, will be attending the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books 2025. He will sign copies of his book at a book signing session organized by self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet.

Dr. Lawson is an accomplished professional holding multiple significant positions in psychiatry. He is the Founder and Director of the Institute for Reducing Disparities, LLC, President of Senior Psychiatrists Inc., and Director of Psychiatric Research for the Emerson Clinical Research Institute. Dr. Lawson has a strong academic background as a Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at George Washington University and the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He has also held faculty positions at various esteemed institutions throughout his career.

Dr. Lawson has received numerous national accolades for his contributions to mental health, including awards from organizations such as the American Psychiatric Association and the National Medical Association.
