Engage with the Global Student Forum: Connect, advocate, influence
The session will focus on the structure, mission, and key activities of the Global Student Forum, emphasizing its role in amplifying student voices globally.
The Better Innovation, Better Outcome (BIBO) Network was initiated by UNESCO IESALC in 2023 as part of its institutional youth strategy, supporting young leaders in transforming higher education to align with and contribute to the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As part of the network, members have opportunities to advocate for their work on the SDGs, participate in podcasts, lead peer learning sessions, speak or moderate sessions at UNESCO IESALC events, receive training on policy and project skills, and engage in other collaborative and partnership-building activities.
Under this mission, BIBO Network members participate in a dynamic peer-to-peer webinar series where each session showcases their personal and professional experiences as young leaders driving social transformation across diverse contexts. They discuss strategies for advancing the 2030 Agenda, sharing both success stories and challenges encountered in their initiatives at different levels of project implementation.
This fifth webinar of the series is a special edition, featuring an invited external speaker from the Global Student Forum—an organization with which UNESCO IESALC has partnered since 2023 for youth advisory initiatives. The session will focus on the structure, mission, and key activities of the Global Student Forum, emphasizing its role in amplifying student voices globally.
Anna Weinrich, a Steering Committee member of the Global Student Forum, will lead the session. Anna represents students on the global stage, advocating for youth and student rights, and has been actively involved in student representation from the local to the international level, including as an international officer for the Union of Danish Upper Secondary School Students and as a board member of the Organizing Bureau of European School Student Unions. During the webinar, she will explore various avenues for engagement, ranging from advocacy and policy work to grassroots organizing and global campaigns.
All BIBO Network members are warmly invited to join this webinar’s interactive, peer-to-peer conversation.
