lululemon Launches Go Further Bra
lululemon is launching the Go Further Bra™, an innovative sports bra tested by ultrarunners at the FURTHER women’s ultramarathon last year and featuring new technology that offers maximum support and a barely-there feel.
Through research and guest insights, we found that comfort and performance can be at odds in high-impact sports bras, leading to challenges like not having enough support and feeling restrictive. The Go Further Bra addresses the unmet need for a sports bra that provides high-impact performance while still feeling comfortable and lightweight before and after your workout.
“Innovating for women’s unmet needs is at our core and we’ve developed deep expertise in breast movement management, resulting in paradigm-shifting bra concepts like the Go Further Bra. It offers her a new experience in running by delivering high performance and comfort in a lightweight solution,” said Chantelle Murnaghan, VP of Research and Product Innovation, lululemon.
This is the first lululemon sports bra to debut Support Code™ technology, a unique pattern of targeted high-impact support and breathability throughout the bra. It feels like it’s barely there when not in motion and the performance kicks in as the workout intensifies by reducing breast movement without feeling compressive.
The pull-on, pull-off racerback silhouette – created with lululemon’s proprietary Ultralu™ fabric - ensures a smooth fit to wick sweat, dry fast, and stretch in all directions. Padded straps and a soft foam underband provide support and cushioned feel.
The Go Further Bra was a key part of the bespoke athlete kits from the FURTHER six-day ultramarathon where each runner surpassed their furthest distance. This initiative showcased how far women can go with access to resources and innovations typically reserved for men. Initial FURTHER research findings have started to be shared at science conferences with plans to publish more broadly, including research manuscripts, beginning later this year and into 2026.
The Go Further Bra will be available online, with new colors throughout spring and additional Go Further products to follow.
