Today, Apple TV+ celebrated the upcoming two-part documentary film event “Number One on the Call Sheet” with a premiere screening in New York, ahead of the global launch on March 28. Producer and contributor Kevin Hart surprised guests, bringing down the house as he introduced the documentary proclaiming, “I personally think ‘Number One on the Call Sheet’ idea is genius — one of the best ideas I’ve ever been able to be a part of — especially in the space of documentary and storytelling.”

Spotlighting this two-part documentary film event, director Reginald Hudlin added, “This is a movie of winners. They all have their own path and their own way to success. And whether you are in the entertainment business or not, I think there are lessons to come from all of these amazing men and women.”

The momentous evening continued with a panel discussion featuring “Number One on the Call Sheet: Black Leading Men in Hollywood” with director Hudlin, producers Datari Turner and Dan Cogan, and moderated by Emmy Award-winning journalist and host Kelley Carter. The filmmakers shared their hope that audiences who see these films are inspired to continue the legacy of these great artisans who have changed the course of history.
