The Father of DevOps, an AI Maverick & a Culture Wonk Join Lemurian Labs—The Future of AI Just Got More Interesting
Adam Robertson (Control Plane Corporation, WitnessAI), Abhay Chitral (Intel), and Bryan Carpender (Beachbody, Kaiber.ai) bring unmatched expertise in Cloud, AI, and People Strategy to the company disrupting the AI industry’s status quo
Today, Lemurian Labs added three new people to their company email chain with the hiring of Adam Robertson as Head of AI Infrastructure, Abhay Chitral as Head of Product, and Bryan Carpender as Head of People Operations. As the company’s technology evolves, so does the team driving it, and each of these individuals brings a wealth of experience, a relentless drive for innovation, and creativity that moves Lemurian forward. They were lured to Lemurian Labs not just for the challenge but for the mission - one that began with a simple realization: the most important technology of our lifetime is running on a broken foundation. With AI being reinvented almost daily - faster, more efficient - organizations must continually attract top talent. The culture at Lemurian Labs reflects this mission through collaboration and a fierce pursuit of results that challenge conventional thinking.
Adam Robertson: Head of AI Infrastructure (Father of DevOps)
When it comes to building AI that works better, infrastructure is key. That’s where Adam Robertson, the father of DevOps, steps in. With 15+ years of experience running DevOps organizations in the tech industry, Adam’s expertise spans DevOps, MLOps, AI/ML infrastructure, performance testing, and QA. Before joining Lemurian Labs, Adam served as Vice President of DevOps at Control Plane Corporation, where he unified cloud platforms across Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure to enable secure, flexible environments. Now, at Lemurian Labs, Adam is spearheading efforts to reduce the cost and energy demands of AI training and deployment with next-gen software and hardware solutions - because who says AI infrastructure can’t be both sleek and sustainable?
Abhay Chitral: Head of Product (The AI Product Maverick)
While the infrastructure lays the groundwork, it’s the product that puts AI into action. Enter Abhay Chitral, a product leader who isn’t just about AI - he’s about making it work at scale and with flexibility. Abhay is a seasoned product leader with 18 years at Intel, driving AI in Data Centers, Cloud, Edge computing, and IoT—building solutions that power everything from large-scale enterprise AI to intelligent devices at the edge. As Director of Product Management in Intel’s Cloud & Data Center division, he led product strategy for generative AI with Intel’s AI Software Suite and spearheaded Intel’s Enterprise AI solutions from concept to deployment. At Lemurian Labs, he’s now building hardware-flexible AI solutions that push the boundaries of performance and accessibility.
Bryan Carpender: Head of People Operations (The People & Culture Wonk)
Building great AI isn’t just about the technology - it’s about the people who make it happen. Lemurian Labs is tackling AI’s toughest hurdles with a seamless, hardware-agnostic software platform that optimizes training, inference, and deployment - cutting waste and slashing energy demands. However, none of this can happen without the right culture and talent driving it forward. That’s where Bryan Carpender comes in. With over three decades of experience in people operations, internal communications, and talent strategy, Bryan has helped companies scale while keeping their culture strong. Most recently, at Kaiber.ai, he helped build out their People Operations infrastructure and talent strategy to support a highly engaged workforce. At Beachbody, he helped scale the company from 75 to 750+ employees, leading internal communications and building out the People Department, developing initiatives such as an interactive onboarding experience and a digital employee handbook. Earlier in his career, Bryan earned his People & Culture wings as a part of the legendary People Department at Southwest Airlines, designing and delivering company-wide training programs, from new hire classes to leadership development and culture initiatives. Now at Lemurian Labs, Bryan ensures the company attracts and retains top talent while fostering an environment where bold ideas—and people—thrive.
