“Echoes of the Tides” is a collection of poems by Adelina C. da Silva. The poems mirror the life experiences of immigrants. This book shares a glimpse of Adelina’s life in her home country and the United States. The poems tackle topics such as social awkwardness, acceptance of new endeavors, and cultural misconceptions.
The author also highlights the hybrid of the Cabo-Verdean Creole and English languages in her pieces, promoting the intertwining of different cultures. Some poems in the book denote serious matters that readers will learn, especially those that are about culture.
ReadersMagnet is committed to supporting independent authors who aim to share their stories with the world. The company helps emerging and established authors expand to a wider audience and enhance brand visibility, one of which is through its own book confabs and book exhibits at national and international book events.
ReadersMagnet invites authors to participate in their upcoming Los Angeles Book Confab at the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City. This event allows an independent author to talk about their book in front of an audience through an open mic session. Their open mic will also be live-streamed, allowing the author to market their book digitally.
Adelina C. da Silva’s book “Echoes of the Tides” will also be exhibited at the 2025 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. This book event is the largest literary festival in the United States, drawing an annual crowd of 150,000.
