Still time to enter EWC-supporting Yamaha R7 Endurance Series
Time is running out to enter the opening round of the all-new 2025 Yamaha R7 Endurance Series, a key FIM Endurance World Championship support race during the upcoming 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans.
With registrations closing at midnight (CET) on 31 March there is still an opportunity to contest the inaugural Yamaha R7 Endurance Series race, held ahead of the 24 Heures Motos from 15-18 April.
By visiting the dedicated Yamaha R7 Endurance Series section at FIMEWC.com, prospective competitors can download the entry form and regulations (available in English and French) as well being able to obtain more essential information.
Affordable and accessible racing for all-comers
Launched during the Bol d’Or weekend at Circuit Paul Ricard last September, the Yamaha R7 Endurance Series is organised by Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Sports in partnership with the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) and supported by Yamaha Motor Europe.
It has been designed to offer an affordable and accessible pathway into EWC Pyramid, that starts with the FIM Endurance World Trophy for production motorcycles, continues with the Superstock-based FIM Endurance World and peaks with the headlining FIM Endurance World Championship for Formula EWC machinery.
Building on the success of the Yamaha R7 Cup, where racers compete in national cups and challenges across Europe, the Yamaha R7 Endurance Series welcomes all riders over the age of 16, whether competing as a team or on a purely privateer basis.
Following its guest slot during the 24 Heures Motos event, the 2025 Yamaha R7 Endurance Series concludes with the 8 Hours of Spa Motos from 4-6 June.
Exciting format explained
Each Yamaha R7 Endurance Series round includes ample track time with dedicated practice and qualifying sessions ahead of an 80-minute race featuring a traditional Le Mans-style running start.
For each race, an American-style relay system is adopted during pit stops. This means teams can use two Yamaha R7 motorcycles and have one ready to go as the other stops outside the pit garage; they just need to swap the transponders between them.
Race-proven Yamaha R7 ensures equal competition
To ensure a level playing field, riders battle against one another on race-proven Yamaha R7 motorcycles, one of the latest additions to Yamaha’s legendary R-series, which provides an ideal platform for endurance racing, boasting a high torque 689cc engine, compact chassis, and aerodynamic bodywork.
Bridging the gap between national and international level
The Yamaha R7 Endurance Series offers a fantastic opportunity for riders to advance from national to international level competition and serves as the perfect starting point for those contemplating competing in the EWC in the future, with the entry cost for each round set at just €3365, which includes Pirelli tyres, fuel, and all taxes.
