Pastor George Quin’s Prison Ministry Brings Hope and Transformation Through Faith
The pastor has dedicated over 15 years to ministering to imprisoned men, offering them a path to healing and transformation through the teachings of Jesus Christ.
“George Quin’s heart for his fellow man is evident by his devotion to ministering to inmates. His personal experience with anger enables him to share with those struggling how to make progress and succeed in this area. His work is refreshingly transparent and helpful.” Roger Greer, former national correspondent with Focus on the Family.
Pastor George Quin’s prison ministry focuses on providing biblical wisdom to men and women who feel trapped in cycles of anger, addiction, and despair. Through his compassionate outreach, he has witnessed profound changes in the lives of countless individuals behind bars. By sharing the teachings of Jesus Christ, Pastor Quin encourages them to embrace God’s grace and develop the inner strength needed to break free from destructive emotions and behaviors.
He is also a published author. His book, “Taking Anger Seriously: A Divine Answer for Human Anger,” delves into the origins of human anger, showing how it stems from the very personality God instilled in each individual. However, when unchecked, it can become destructive. The book highlights the necessity of divine leadership in guiding one’s emotions, offering readers a refreshing perspective on God’s mercy and wisdom. Many imprisoned individuals have testified to the book’s impact, finding solace and transformation within its pages.
Pastor Quin’s ministry extends beyond prison walls. As a Care Pastor at Midway Church and a board member of Denton Freedom House, a Christ-Centered recovery home, he continues to support individuals facing challenges, including addiction and homelessness. His dedication to serving “the least of these” is evident in his hands-on approach to ministry, where he works alongside others to provide healing, restoration, and hope.
With a degree in theology from Fountain Gate Bible College and a deep love for biblical teaching, Pastor Quin believes faith is the cornerstone of true transformation. He sees his ministry as a calling and a mission field where God’s love is revealed in profound and life-changing ways.
“Taking Anger Seriously” is more than just a book; it is a guide to healing and redemption. Whether in prisons, recovery homes, or the broader community, Pastor Quin’s message of faith and restoration inspires and uplifts those in need.
