Carlsberg Group awarded European Pepsi Bottler of the Year

We’re proud to announce that Carlsberg Group has been awarded European Bottler of the Year 2024 by PepsiCo recognizing outstanding performance and our strong partnership.

Spearheading the growth is Carlsberg Sweden, which has been on an incredible run of market share wins and has seen an impressive double-digit volume growth over the last three years. Pepsi Max is now the largest Carbonated Soft Drinks brand in Sweden. 

And the “How” is equally impressive: Investing in strong capabilities, driving the growth in Independent eateries, focusing on single serve, driving sustainability through higher rPET – all in a culture of inclusivity and collaboration.

But the coveted award also recognises the strong strategic partnerships of Carlsberg and PepsiCo beyond Sweden, including the longstanding growth journey in Norway, our commitment to build the Swiss business, and our significant investment in Britvic to build the GB&I business.

Carlsberg: PepsiCo’s Largest Anchor Bottler in Europe, with a Growing Global Footprint

With this year’s acquisition of Britvic, Carlsberg Group currently is the bottling partner for PepsiCo in seven markets worldwide: Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, GB, Ireland, Cambodia and Laos.

Next year, we will add two more markets to the mix, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

The Bottler of the Year Europe trophy will be awarded at the International Beverages Conference (IBC) in Barcelona, where Carlsberg will then also compete with the other sector winners for the 2024 International Bottler of the Year trophy.
