Elisa Lipsky-Karasz Named Head of Editorial Content of ELLE DECOR

NEW YORK, NY – WEBWIRE

ELLE DECOR announced that Elisa Lipsky-Karasz has been named head of editorial content for the luxury design brand.

In her new role, Lipsky-Karasz will oversee ELLE DECOR’s content development across the brand’s print and digital platforms. She will report to Stellene Volandes, ELLE DECOR’s editorial and brand director, whose role was recently expanded to include oversight of ELLE DECOR’s content and strategy across its print and digital platforms. Volandes, who has been editorial director of the brand since 2020, is also the editor-in-chief of Town & Country.

“I have admired Elisa’s work and taste for years now and I could not think of a better collaborator and editorial partner for me as we embark on this next chapter of ELLE DECOR,” Volandes said. “This brand is centered in how design meets style  and believes in the power of design across the culture — in the home, in fashion, in hospitality, in art and architecture, in watches and jewelry. Elisa understands this deeply and has the broad vision and the sharp design focus that is singularly ELLE DECOR. And based on all our conversations leading up to this announcement, an exciting new era awaits.”

Lipsky-Karasz was most recently at WSJ Magazine, where she served in several senior level editorial positions during her tenure, including editorial director. Previously, she was the features director at Harper’s BAZAAR and, before that, she was the deputy eye editor at Women’s Wear Daily.

“Stellene’s strategic leadership and editorial acuity is inspiring and provides an invaluable road map. I can’t wait to work with her and the entire team at ELLE DECOR as we build on the strong foundation of this iconic brand,” Lipsky-Karasz  said. “I am excited to return to Hearst, where the powerful role that design plays across every facet of our audience’s lives is literally built into the foundations: every day, I marvel at Hearst Tower’s three-story glass waterfall and a Richard Long  mural, all designed by Lord Norman Foster!”

Lipsky-Karasz joins an expert and veteran staff and new additions at ELLE DECOR, including Benjamin Reynaert, market director; Annie Goldsmith news and strategy lead; and Contributing Editor William Li, who will take on an expanded role as special projects editor.

She begins her new role on April 7.
