There was a time when Norman Ceasar felt his life was relatively normal. He was born and raised in Washington, D.C. He went to school, graduated from Woodward Prep, and then studied at the University of the District of Columbia. When finished, he embarked on a 34-year career at the U.S. Postal Service with a little bit of real estate investment on the side.
Yet, during the course of delivering to one of his long-time regulars, he was asked a question that would eventually lead to big changes in his life.
The question was about his yearly physical.
This one question set Ceasar down the path of being more aware of his age, health, and the reality that he was susceptible to prostate cancer. It led him to an early diagnosis, an anxious battle to survive it, and then a desire to publish his story when he did.
The title of his book is “Cancer Winner,” and he has recently been doing some promotional work in order to raise awareness. Ceasar is scheduled to give a talk at an event called Book Confab at Hilton Hotel organized by the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet, on April 24, 2025 at 1:00 PM PST. He hopes attendees can help spread the information he shares and improve the odds of men everywhere.
To date, prostate cancer is still one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths in the United States. Ceasar’s family had some history with it, and it wasn’t entirely surprising that he had it as well. He hopes that his book will help the men who read it to take better care of their health, get proper diagnosis, and understand their options.
“Cancer Winner” will also be displayed at the Book Confab in Hilton Los Angeles, which will take place on April 23 – 24, 2025. Get a copy today on Amazon. To learn more about Norman Ceasar’s story, visit his website at http://www.normanceaser.org/.

Author Bio
Norman Ceasar was born and raised in Washington, DC. He attended the District of Columbia Public Schools, graduated from Woodward Preparatory School, and later took classes at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC). He worked for the US Postal Service until he retired after 34 years of service in 2009. During those years, he also worked part-time in real estate, purchasing houses that needed work, renovating them, and then renting them out.
He was inspired to write this book on surviving prostate cancer because of his experience with the disease. He realized the importance of making other men aware and educating them about prostate cancer. Too many men have died and are dying from prostate cancer. For those who died, their deaths may have been avoided with just a little more knowledge about the disease. It is highly curable if caught early.
His mission is to tell his story of how he survived prostate cancer, mainly because cancer was detected early when it is most curable. He survived prostate cancer by getting his physical and blood work done every year in January, his birth month, starting at age 35.
He wanted to live and be there for his family. He believed God had more for him to do. He prayed for God’s wisdom and then took the steps necessary to make that happen. He did the research necessary to become informed of his options, talking with his doctors and family, and finally choosing the best treatment for himself. He had to fight the battle in his mind when doubts about his decisions would arise.
