We are advancing toward our objective of promoting sustainable mobility.

  • The company is the leader in its sector in Spain, with the most service stations featuring ultra-fast charging points (at least 150kW). These stations are capable of charging up to 80% of an electric vehicle’s battery in just 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the model
  • Overall, Moeve operates around 220 ultra-fast charging points that are fully accessible, with another 200 already built and awaiting authorization
  • Nowadays, Saturdays at noon experience the highest number of charges across the Moeve network in Spain, with an average charging time of 33 minutes and a power output of 68kW. In Portugal, the peak time is Sunday afternoons, with an average charging time of 34 minutes and a charging power of 57kW

Moeve is making significant strides in accelerating the energy transition, driving the decarbonization of transportation and promoting sustainable mobility. The company has reached a major milestone with the launch of 100 service stations featuring ultra-fast electric charging points, mostly located along the key corridors of the Iberian Peninsula. The company is deploying one of the largest ultra-fast charging networks in Spain and Portugal and has become the energy company with the most high power connected service stations in Spain.

The ultra-fast charging points in the Moeve network (at least 150kW) enable electric vehicles to charge 80% of their battery in just 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the model. The deployment includes charging points along the key road corridors of the Iberian Peninsula, covering five major routes: the Mediterranean Corridor, the Plata Route, the route connecting Portugal and France, as well as the main highways in Portugal.*

Out of the 100 service stations, 70% of them are located in Spanish territory and 30% in Portugal. In total, there are around 220 high power charging points in operation, with at least another 200 built and pending authorization. The entire network is deployed across public locations with free access, where customers can pay by card without the need for registration or an app.

The company announced this milestone during an event held at the Estación de Servicio de Yucatán (Madrid).

“We are advancing toward our objective of promoting sustainable mobility. We are taking advantage of the full potential of our network by placing service stations in strategic locations, ensuring accessible charging points for electric vehicle users. Our goal is also to be recognized as a quality operator, providing our customers with the best possible experience through ultra-fast charging, which saves them valuable time.”

Isabel Gorgoso - Director of New Mobility at Moeve

According to data collected from Moeve’s ultra-fast chargers, the highest number of recharges in Spain occurs on Saturdays at noon. The average charging time is 33 minutes, with an average power output of 68kW. When it comes to Portugal, the peak recharge time is Sunday afternoon, with an average charging time of 34 minutes and an average power of 57kW.

Moreover, thanks to partnerships with other operators, Moeve customers can access 7,500 charging points in Spain and up to 90,000 across the rest of Europe, enabling travel through the main European corridors in countries such as France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italy or Poland. Users can access these points from the Moeve gow application, or with their RFID card. This card allows customers to quickly and securely identify themselves at a reader, without needing additional devices or payment methods.

Transformation of service stations

Moeve is transforming its service stations with a new multi-energy concept that also includes the offering of green molecules such as HVO 100 renewable diesel, which is already available for customers today, and plans for green hydrogen in the future.

In addition to promoting sustainable mobility, the stations are evolving into digitized spaces, offering a wide range of ultra-convenience and catering services. An experience that puts the customer at the very center, through Moeve Market, R’SPIRO’s restaurant concepts, a premium offer of coffee, bread and pastries; and the Food Halls, based on a multi-brand space of international reference, with a diverse gastronomic offer adapted to local tastes. These services go hand in hand with the development of sustainable wash centers, with the most advanced technology.
