Boeing Contributes $100,000 to Support Tornado Recovery and Relief Efforts in Missouri

ARLINGTON, Va. – WEBWIRE

Boeing [NYSE: BA] is donating $100,000 from the Boeing Charitable Trust to The Salvation Army to support recovery efforts in the greater St. Louis area.

“Our thoughts are with all those affected by the recent tornadoes in St. Louis. We are committed to supporting our communities as they continue to recover and rebuild,” said Jeff Shockey, executive vice president of Boeing Government Operations, Global Public Policy and Corporate Strategy. “By working closely with trusted partners like The Salvation Army, we can help ensure that critical resources reach those who need them most.”

“We hurt for our neighbors throughout Missouri who were dramatically impacted by the March 14-15 tornadoes. Thus far, we are aware of 3,667 homes that were damaged, many completely destroyed,” said Maj. Robert Mueller, The Salvation Army Midland Division commander. “Over the next two-plus weeks we will be providing immediate assistance through the distribution of gift cards and other essential living items. Boeing’s generous contribution of $100,000 at a time when people need hope like never before will make it possible to provide gift cards to hundreds of survivors throughout St. Louis County in communities where Boeing employees live and work.”

In addition to corporate charitable investments, Boeing employees give to their local communities through their local Boeing Employees Community Fund chapter and by participating in volunteer and charitable gift match programs. Consistent with Boeing employee gift match programs, the company will match qualifying employee contributions made in support of tornado relief efforts.

Disaster recovery and relief efforts align with Boeing’s ongoing commitment to the communities where the company has a presence. Boeing employs more than 17,000 people in Missouri, and in 2024, contributed over $12 million in charitable investments across the state. In 2024, Boeing donated $3.8 million to recovery and relief efforts globally.
