GrimKeep, a Grimdark Roguelite Dice-Builder, Launches November 30 on Steam and PlayStation
Resolution Games invites players to roll the dice and build game-breaking combinations in the demo that is available now through Steam Next Fest, October 19-26
What started as an idea from a fun internal gameplay share event has morphed into a dark fantasy that can be as casual or hardcore as you want it to be. We can’t wait to see what players come up with during the demo and at launch.
Resolution Games, an award winning game studio, today announced that GrimKeep, its grimdark roguelite dice-builder, will launch November 30, 2026 for PC via Steam and on PlayStation 5. Ahead of its full release, players can experience the unique gameplay firsthand with a playable demo available now through Steam Next Fest, which runs October 19-26. This demo offers a crucial opportunity for fans of strategic roguelites and dark fantasy to engage with the game’s core mechanics.
GrimKeep’s Innovative Roguelite Experience
GrimKeep takes the familiar build-crafting obsession of a roguelite deckbuilder and swaps the deck for a bag of dice. Find items, add and upgrade dice, cut the ones hurting your odds, and combine your rolls into poker-style combos that hit harder and harder as your build comes together. All of it serves one goal: fight through a cursed city and reach the castle at its heart. There, the Princess waits. Spoiler alert: You are not going there to save her.
“GrimKeep has been a passion project for a couple of us here at Resolution Games for the last couple of years,” said David Filipe, Game Director. “What started as an idea from a fun internal gameplay share event has morphed into a dark fantasy that can be as casual or hardcore as you want it to be. We can’t wait to see what players come up with during the demo and at launch.”
Every GrimKeep run is a self-contained, turn-based descent that can last anywhere from a quick coffee break to a full 1–3 hour evening, depending on how you play your dice. Along the way, you’ll assemble powerful builds, uncover unexpected synergies, and push your luck as far as your skills will take you.
GrimKeep Launches November 30
At launch, GrimKeep will feature seven playable heroes, seven dice types, 30 unlockable hero skills, more than 200 items and more than 60 unique monsters, all presented in a hand-drawn 2D world where dark fantasy collides with Lovecraft-inspired horror. The available demo features a portion of the full game.
The full GrimKeep game will be available on Nov. 30 for $14.99 USD on Steam for Windows and macOS, and on PlayStation 5. Players can experience the game for the first time now and during Steam Next Fest October 19-26 and can wishlist GrimKeep now on Steam.
GrimKeep is being developed by a small team at Resolution Games (you can read a bit more about the team here), the studio behind Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked, Demeo, Spatial Ops, Angry Birds VR, Blaston, Bait! and Racket Club.
