Harris Corporation Awarded $76 Million Contract To Provide Falcon II Radios to Government of Pakistan
Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS), an international communications and information technology company, has been awarded a $76 million contract to supply the government of Pakistan with FalconŽ II high-frequency tactical radios.
Under terms of the contract, Harris will provide Pakistan with the FalconŽ II RF-5800H, an advanced, high-frequency (HF) SSB/VHF-FM system that provides reliable and secure tactical communications. Harris also will supply ancillary and support equipment, spare and repair parts, training, and logistics support.

"We are pleased to have the opportunity to support the Pakistani government with radio systems that provide industry-leading information security, reliability and ease-of-use" This is the second large order Pakistan has placed for Harris FalconŽ radios in the past three years. In 2005, the Pakistani government placed a $68 million order for Harris tactical radios. The contracts establish Harris as a key supplier of next-generation tactical HF radios to the Pakistani Army.
