Miley Cyrus Chooses Clear Channel Radio’s Stripped Series to Reach Millions of Fans Both On-Air and Online
Miley Joins Platform Where a Number of Top Artists Have Performed
Lucky Fans Have Their Photos Appear in “Simple Song” Video
WHAT:
Miley Cyrus gave a performance to remember for Clear Channel Radio’s Stripped series, where artists play stripped down versions of songs in an intimate setting. The set list includes “See You Again,” “7 Things,” “The Driveway,” and “Simple Song.” Miley wrapped up her set with a memorable cover of Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.”
One fortunate contest winner and guest were flown to Hollywood to see the taping live. The contest drove nearly two million page views to the Clear Channel network over a three week period.
During the shoot of “Simple Song,” select fan-created photos submitted via CCR’s radio station Social Networks were projected onto a screen behind Miley. These photos are prominently featured in the Stripped performance, available on demand now across more than 190 radio stations Web sites, including CHR-Pop and Country formats. Much like the photo submission contest that took place with the Jonas Brothers performance, radio listeners have become a part of the online communities, creating a truly interactive experience.
