H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Comes to NYC
ALBANY, NEW YORK (September 19, 2008) – Zhaxi Zhuoma Rinpoche has given presentations to propagate the dharma on the genesis and major teachings of the book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III in various cities throughout the West and Midwest and will continue to do so throughout the country. This book documents the fact that Master Wan Ko Yee has been recognized as the third incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha by the leading enlightened Buddhist leaders in the world.
Those attending have asked why H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha came to America and how His Holiness was recognized. They also asked how Buddhism compares to other religions and wanted to know more about the different methods of teaching Buddhism that have come to America from different traditions and cultures. Monastics from Buddhist temples throughout the Midwest attended these presentations including ethnic temples that served recent immigrants from Bangladesh, Burma, Cambodia, Korea, Laos, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. Rinpoche stressed that all traditions, be they Theravada, Mahayana, or Vajrayana could trace their roots back to Dorje Chang Buddha who was the first Buddha with form in the universe—a manifestation of the primordial dharmakaya Adharma Buddha. She also emphasized that Buddhism recognizes the contributions of other religions and encourages any sect, whether Buddhist or not, that teaches morality, kindness, and compassion. She said, “The great Bodhisattvas and Buddhas who incarnate into this world to help living beings are not always Buddhist. They aren’t always famous abbots or great dharma kings or even always human beings. You might be living next to such a holy being and not know it.”
The Dharma Propagation Team visited monks, lamas, rinpoches, and dharma kings at many temples, monasteries, retreat centers, and dharma centers across America. When discussing H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III with H.H. Penor Rinpoche, the former head of the Nyingma Sect told the rinpoche: "Never in the history of Tibetan Buddhism has anyone claimed to be an incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha. Because this is the Dharma Ending Age, it is good that such a high being has incarnated. " H.H. Penor Rinpoche also said that such a holy being should manifest many magical and miraculous attributes. These qualities are well documented in the book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III.
The beautiful mandalas that could be seen on photos taken in Las Vegas and Colorado continued at some of the presentations in the Midwest. They frequently appear on photos taken at holy sites in India and Tibet but are still rare in the USA. Rinpoche said, “Although these are merely illusory phenomena and not to be given much consideration, they are auspicious blessings from another dimension and a very good sign.”
Zhaxi Zhuoma and her team will visit New York City with a presentation to propagate Buddha-dharma and to benefit people at East-West Living, 78 Fifth Avenue from 8-10 pm on Tuesday evening September 30. A second presentation will be held at the Livingston Manor Free Library, 92 Main Street from 1-3 pm on Saturday September 27.
