Monique Esclavissat and Con Gornell Named to Executive Vice President Posts at Warner Bros. Pictures International

January 11, 2006, Con Gornell has been named Executive Vice President, European Marketing, and Monique Esclavissat has been named Executive Vice President, European Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures International.

The announcements were made by Sue Kroll and Veronika Kwan-Rubinek, Warner Bros. Pictures International’s President of Marketing and President of Distribution, respectively. Gornell and Esclavissat each move up from their previous posts as Senior Vice Presidents in the same divisions.

Esclavissat is responsible for regional supervision of Warner Bros. Pictures’ distribution activities in Europe, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Since her appointment to this position in January 2001, she directly supervises the staff of the European regional office in London, as well as the local affiliate and licensee enterprises to ensure proper and effective execution of distribution strategies.

Gornell will continue to oversee and manage the day-to-day marketing operations in Europe, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He supervises all aspects of a diverse number of projects, all regional marketing activities and a London-based staff.

Monique has done an exceptional job of staying ahead of the curve in managing our line-up and relationships in this increasingly competitive and challenging environment,” said Kwan-Rubinek. “We look forward to her continued great work in her well-earned new position.”

Esclavissat moved up from SVP, European Distribution, in (date), after joining Warner Bros. Pictures International as Vice President, Distribution in 1998. Prior to this, she worked in London as Vice President, International Sales & Distribution for Castle Rock International. Before that, she served as Sales Director at Mayfair Entertainment, and as an Economist at Daiwa Securities. Esclavissat has lived in Mexico, France, the UK and Los Angeles, and speaks fluent French, English, Spanish and Italian as well as some German.

Gornell most recently served as Senior Vice President, European Marketing, Warner Bros. Pictures in London, having joined Warner Bros. in September 1997 as Vice President, European Media and rising to Senior Vice President, European Marketing in 2001. Previously, he was in charge of the Warner Bros. Pictures account at Grey London for five years, where he served as media director. During his career, Gornell has worked for a number of top London advertising agencies including Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Carat and W.P.P.
