Fantasy, Paranormal Romance Top the Weekly eBooks Bestseller Lists at BooksOnBoard

Fantasy eBooks topped BooksOnBoard’s bestseller list this week, with titles from Anne Bishop, Kim Harrison, Stephenie Meyer, Neil Gaiman, and Karen Miller all rising to the top. The Shadow Queen by Anne Bishop and White Witch, Black Curse by Kim Harrison were released in the last two weeks; Twilight and Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer, The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman, and Empress by Karen Miller have been out longer but continue to perform well.

“Fantasy readers have always been eBook fans,” according to BooksOnBoard CEO Bob LiVolsi. “Now publishers are catching up, and all of the best fantasy titles are available as eBooks.”

Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, the relationship advice eBook from talk show host Steve Harvey, debuted strongly and has climbed to first on the Bestsellers list. The Reader by Bernhard Schlink, the basis for the Oscar-nominated film of the same name, is fourth on the bestsellers list. Thriller eBooks The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson and Promises in Death by J. D. Robb continue to perform well.

Paranormal Romance dominated the Romance eBooks Bestsellers List with recent eBook releases Angels’ Blood and Angels’ Pawn from Nalini Singh, and The Amazon’s Curse and The Vampire’s Bride from Gena Showalter. The Amazon’s Curse is being offered as a 99 cent iPhone special, and all titles can be downloaded directly to the iPhone.

“Paranormal Romance tends to follow the same trends as general fantasy,” according to Nathan Johnson, Director of Operations at BooksOnBoard. “When vampires and werewolves dominate Fantasy eBooks, they do the same in Paranormal Romance – just with a stronger romantic plotline.”

Other bestselling Romance eBooks this week include Dark Victory by Brenda Joyce, To Romance a Charming Rogue by Nicole Jordan, Scandalous by Lori Foster, Montana Creeds: Dylan by Linda Lael Miller, Danger in a Red Dress by Christina Dodd, and The Kissing Game by Suzanne Brockmann.
