New Multi-Parameter Photometers from PCE Instruments for Water Analysis - the PCE-CP Series
The photometers of the PCE-CP series are designed to determine various parameters of water quality.
For each measurement, a sample amount of 10 ml is filled into the dosing pipette of the photometer and mixed with the chemical for the parameter to be measured. The parameter is selected via the device menu and the measurement is started. The timer ensures that the light transmission is only measured after a sufficient reaction time.
The photometers of the PCE-CP series are designed to determine various parameters of water quality. The devices only differ in the number of measurable parameters. With each of the devices, it is possible to quantitatively determine the pH value, the alkalinity, the free and bound chlorine and the content of cyanuric acid, using the appropriate reagents.
The PCE-CP 20 can also measure total hardness and calcium hardness and the PCE-CP 30 can also measure active oxygen, chlorine dioxide, bromine, ozone, hydrogen peroxide, polyhexamine and urea. This makes these multi-parameter photometers ideal for checking the water condition in swimming pools. When it comes to monitoring swimming pools, it is mandatory to check the auxiliary hygiene parameters of free chlorine and combined chlorine for each pool three times a day and the specified pH value range once a day.
The photometers of the PCE-CP series automatically save up to 255 measured values which can be read out via a Bluetooth interface using an Android app and viewed from multiple devices via a cloud service. The app allows the management of different measurement locations and, like the cloud service, can be used free of charge. An iOS app and software for Windows and Mac OS for the photometers of the PCE-CP series will soon be available free of charge.
In order to be able to reliably determine the multitude of parameters, the evaluation is carried out over three different wavelength ranges: 503 nm, 570 nm and 620 nm. In addition to the device with batteries, the scope of delivery includes a quick start guide, a device bag, a spare cuvette, dosing pipette and crushing/stirring rod as well as a starter kit of reagents. Additional accessories are optionally available.
