About the Author

Cynthia Attar was born and raised in Skagit County, WA with her beloved horse, Cheyenne. That treasured equine love from a young age led her to discover mules. Cynthia realized straight away that the mule had an amazingly quick and clever mind. But she also realized that others didn’t seem to understand why they do what they do, and mules and people were both getting hurt because of this misunderstanding. This birthed the desire to write “The Mule Companion: A Guide to Understanding the Mule.” Today, Cynthia leads a humble, peaceful life in the remote desert of south central Washington with her canine friend, Lewis. She enjoys being called out to help shift attitudes and behaviors of local mules, horses, and their owners, in seemingly difficult cases. Cynthia Attar has written five books, to date.
