Looking to enrich its wellbeing experience, the wellness centre at Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is launching its “Seasonal Wellbeing” initiative, a series of journeys inspired by the four seasons of the year and designed to nourish and restore both body and mind based on the unique properties of each season through body treatments, holistic massages, and movement and relaxation activities.

The four seasons of the year bring with them significant changes to the climate and personal care requirements. With that in mind, the Seasonal Wellbeing initiative celebrates spring, summer, autumn and winter with a careful selection of treatments designed by experts to harmonise internal and external balance with the rhythms of nature. For each different season, the Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Madrid will offer a range of experiences specifically created to meet the changing needs that each one brings with it, providing a comprehensive wellness experience that fosters natural balance at any time of year.

Spring

Inspired by the refreshing and revitalising sensations that come with spring, the wellness centre will offer treatments and experiences that seek to inspire change from within, such as the Sound Therapy from Clara GongSounds, which is focused on balancing mind and body, reducing stress and anxiety while encouraging cellular regeneration. Furthermore, the outdoor yoga classes on the Hotel terrace with views of central Madrid will enable guests to connect with nature and find serenity amid the urban hustle and bustle. A change of image always reinvigorates and spring will be the perfect time to choose the New Hair, New Me by Ferreti experience, in which the famous stylist to the stars, Rossano Ferretti, offers a personalised service for one’s hair based on his revolutionary invisible cut method.

Summer

During the summer, the wellness centre at Four Seasons Hotel Madrid will become a space to escape the heat and look after one’s skin. The Lunch by the Pool experience will enable guests to refresh themselves while enjoying the hydrotherapy circuit and a casual poolside lunch. Afterwards, they will be able to immerse themselves in a state of serenity with the Lanai massage, inspired by ancient Hawaiian curative principles that imitate the gentle waves of the sea with its movements. Protecting skin from the summer sun is essential, which is why the Prebiotic Urban Facial forms part of this initiative to nourish and strengthen skin flora.

Autumn

In autumn, the skin undergoes some significant changes as people adapt to the changing weather conditions from warm to cold. The experiences chosen for looking after skin and body this season include the flagship massage at the spa, El Retiro, which combines advanced body techniques with hyperthermia technology to alleviate muscle tension and provide a sense of absolute relaxation. After this massage, guests will enjoy a body exfoliation with Á la Carte Body Glow, a treatment that strengthens the hydrolipidic barrier by eliminating dead cells from the skin. Furthermore, in the exceptional atmosphere of the spa’s terrace, guests will have the opportunity to take part in some Pilates sessions. These experiences are complemented by the iconic Harley Street Facial, created by Dr. Yannis, which stimulates skin repair and protects the skin from the environmental changes of autumn.

Winter

The arrival of cold in winter can cause skin dehydration and sensitivity, so the right treatments for looking after it and maintaining its healthy appearance are essential. The complete Canalejas Treatment becomes a must once again, including a body exfoliation to release toxins from the skin, followed by the ayurvedic Abhyanga massage to restore energy balance, and finished with a facial booster from the 111 Skin line that will leave skin fresh and hydrated. The Puffy Eyes experience is also recommended this season, which has been designed to counteract the signs of fatigue and stress around the eyes. Furthermore, personal training sessions will be offered in the gym to maintain physical activity and prevent the muscle rigidity caused by low temperatures.

Located on the highest level of the Hotel, the wellness centre at Four Seasons Hotel Madrid dedicates 1400 square metres (15,000 square feet) over four levels to relaxation, rejuvenation and balance, becoming the most comprehensive wellness experience in Madrid. With luxurious installations and cutting-edge technology, including eight treatment rooms, this haven of relaxation was recently awarded Five Stars by the Forbes Travel Guide and is the ideal place to relax and unwind on any getaway to the Spanish capital.
