Help Promote Gun Safety on Facebook

June 19, 2011 – Although accidental deaths from firearms is at an all-time low, there is one organization that is looking to help spread the word about gun safety with Facebook.

Matt Turner, one of the founders of Promote Gun Safety, said: "Accidental death rates are at an all-time low, but even one death is too many. We here at Promote Gun Safety want to remind all gun owners to be responsible and to use a gun safe with proper gun locks"

Promote Gun Safety is looking for help from members of the public to help spread gun safety awareness to everyone. Turner asks: "If you support the use of gun safes and gun locks, and believe that guns should only be handled responsibly, please go to our fan page and click like to spread the word.”

Promote Gun Safety reminds it’s visitors that there are still over 3.3 million households where guns are kept loaded and unlocked. Turner protests that "it is incredibly dangerous - the best thing you can do for your family is to keep it locked and secure.”
