’Pawn Stars’ Les Paul Guitar fetches $110,000 selling on eBay
WhatSellsBest.com, a website tracking rare items selling on eBay, reports a Les Paul Guitar purchased on ’Pawn Stars’ has fetched $110,000. The sale included surprising personal items of Les Paul.
WhatSellsBest.com, reports a Les Paul Guitar recently purchased on History Channels hit television show Pawn Stars (for $90k), fetched a final bid of $110,000 selling on eBay. The sale included a surprising personal item belonging to Les Paul.
The Guitar, a 1961 Gibson SG Les Paul Custom, had previously belonged to Les Paul’s ex-wife Mary Ford. Shortly after an episode airing the $90k purchase from Mary Fords nephew on Pawn Stars, the Guitar appeared on eBay.
A surprising personal item of Les Paul was also included in the auction. According to the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop (Pawn Stars) eBay listing, a Letter included with the Guitar states; "Les is told Not to sign a contract with Gibson" This advice could have dramatically altered the fortunes of both Paul and Gibson, if it had been followed.
