The crew of the Syfy Channel’s "The Haunted Collector" used his August Lodge and Spa as the base camp to set up operations to investigate a house that is allegedly haunted in Cooperstown, NY.
The crew had been on the road investigating paranormal claims since December, and were scheduled for a four-day shoot in Cooperstown. They resided at August Lodge for the entire time of shooting.
The house under "psychic investigation" was not revealed, but the episode that will feature it on "The Haunted Collector" is scheduled to air sometime in June - August 2012.
Jim Zaffis, "Haunted Collector"’s team leader, said that the house in question doesn’t have to be the source of the haunting, but that an artifact in the house might serve as a "trigger" for paranormal activities within the house.
When asked about the accommodations at August Lodge, Zaffis said they were, “Totally beautiful and relaxing.”
