Global PTM Delivers Oracle eAM Solution to Manage Maintenance for Chicago Public Schools

Greenville, SC - - August 15, 2012 - - Global PTM, the industry leader in Maintenance Operational Improvement (MOI) solutions with focused expertise on Oracle eAM implementations, recently implemented Oracle Enterprise Asset Management (eAM) for Chicago Public Schools to proactively address maintenance management at more than 900 of the school district’s locations.  The Oracle eAM system is integrated with the district-wide Oracle e-Business Suite as part of the overall effort to manage performance and maximize efficiency across the school district.  Global PTM designed an implementation approach specific to the school system to ensure the best way for Oracle eAM to manage and monitor work orders and preventive maintenance more efficiently for the school district’s $500 million capital and grants monies for numerous construction and IT projects.  The system tracks warranties and maintenance for building equipment giving the school district a tool to manage costs and reduce reactionary spending. 
               
Global PTM utilized a train-the-trainer approach which expedited the learning process for over 500 system users.  As a result, the system tracks and manages major assets across the entire school district including work orders, preventive maintenance, costs, and repairs.  This includes all major assets associated with buildings, HVAC systems, food services, and related equipment.  With Oracle eAM in place, Chicago Public Schools is able to assign materials and labor costs for each asset while tracking warranty and repair information.
