First 3D Printing Experience Store in Israel

(Tel Aviv Jaffa, Israel) – After months of planning, testing out different 3D printers, and designing original products, the team at 3D Factory is proud to announce the official grand opening of the store. On Saturday, December 21, 2013, 3D Factory will officially take the stage as the first 3D printing experience store of its kind in Israel.

Located in the artsy and cultural NOGA neighborhood of North Jaffa, 3D Factory is a natural fit and has already generated local interest and support. From Industrial Design students at the nearby Avni Institute to young children and their grandparents, the store concept has excited people from all different backgrounds.

3D Factory’s range of products will also have a wide appeal. Both the physical store and the company’s website will display and sell 3D printed intricate jewelry, lampshades, keychains, smartphone cases, magnets, vases, and many other unique and novelty items. All products are currently built from desktop 3D printers in the store and are made of ABS or PLA plastic.

Customization & Creation At Your Fingertips

Unlike 3D printing labs or novelty gift stores, customers at 3D Factory have the opportunity to customize the products – or create their own new products from scratch. A dedicated workstation gives customers the opportunity to use a range of 3D modeling software to create and play around with their own designs. Similarly, customers have the option to send in their files and simply get them printed at the store.

Interactive Workshops For All Levels

By hosting workshop events and lectures, 3D Factory plans to foster a fun and interactive learning environment for the complete newcomer to the experienced designer or architect. Industrial designers, science professors, and local studio artists have already approached 3D Factory, looking to connect and collaborate on special events.

Chance to Take a Desktop 3D Printer Home Right Away

One of the most appealing aspects of 3D Factory is that customers can purchase a desktop 3D printer and filament material and bring it home right away, as opposed to purchasing online and waiting for delivery. For Israel, this means a new level of convenience they have yet to experience in the 3D printing sector. Passerby’s have already put their faces to the store’s window, checking out the Makerbot Replicator 2, Makerbot 2x, Makerbot Thingomatic, FlashForge Creator, Something 3D and the store plans to add Holland’s Ultimaker 2 to the mix before the opening.

3D Factory was born from the passion and drive of two partners, Shaul Cohen and Oded Marcus. The two industrial designers look ahead to the future and seek to play an active role in the ongoing evolution of 3D printing.
