The Endoscopy Division of FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc., announced four product additions as updates to its 500 Series product line today. The enhanced 500 Series represents the latest offerings from Fujifilm in high-quality medical imaging tools for visualization of the upper and lower digestive tracts.

Fujifilm’s entire 500 Series brings a new level of form and function to the practice of gastroenterology. The 500 Series is ergonomically designed for efficiency and overall stress reduction while offering optimal flexibility in therapeutic treatment. The following is a summary of the endoscopes:
EG-530CT Therapeutic Video Gastroscope—The EG-530CT is intended for the visualization of the upper digestive tract, specifically for the observation, diagnosis, and endoscopic treatment of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. It has an enlarged Working Channel for enhanced therapeutic capability.
EG-530D Dual Channel Video Gastroscope—Designed for easy insertion and handling, the EG-530D allows clinicians the ability to observe, diagnose, and treat disorders of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. Dual Working Channels can accommodate two endoscopic accessories simultaneously, enabling advanced therapeutic techniques.
EC-530DL Dual Channel Video Colonoscope—The EC-530DL is intended for the visualization of the lower digestive tract, specifically for the observation, diagnosis, and endoscopic treatment of the rectum and large intestine. Dual Working Channels can accommodate two endoscopic accessories simultaneously, enabling advanced therapeutic techniques.
ES-530WE Video Sigmoidoscope—Offering easy access, control and versatility, the ES-530WE is designed for the visualization of the lower digestive tract, specifically for the observation, diagnosis, and endoscopic treatment of the rectum and sigmoid colon.
All four of Fujifilm’s updated 500 Series endoscopes offer features that allow clinicians to see better and do more. These include a forward water jet function, stable illumination and excellent image brightness, and a proprietary CCD chip that provides exceptional image quality. Fujifilm’s latest endoscopes are also fully compatible with Flexible Spectral Imaging Color Enhancement (FICE) software and HDTV.
