Vox Media Studios, New York Magazine, and Vulture Celebrate the Premiere of “Good One: A Show About Jokes” Now Streaming on Peacock

Vox Media Studios and New York Magazine are celebrating the premiere of their brand new docu-special, Good One: A Show About Jokes. Streaming now on Peacock, the docu-special is an adaptation of the popular Vulture comedy podcast Good One, hosted by Jesse David Fox, and highlights the journey of a comedian developing new material. This docu-special follows Mike Birbiglia from Providence, R.I. to Washington, D.C. as he builds jokes based on personal truths, mixing comedy with revelations and anecdotes from family and his fellow comedians. In addition to Birbiglia, it features interviews and commentary from distinguished comedians, including Seth Meyers, Hasan Minhaj, Atsuko Okatsuka, and more.

Good One: A Show About Jokes is directed by Eddie Schmidt. Jesse David Fox, Scoop Wasserstein, and Pam Wasserstein serve as executive producers for Vox Media Studios and New York Magazine alongside Eddie Schmidt, Seth Meyers, Mike Shoemaker, and Jason Carden.

Good One is the first Peacock project for Vox Media Studios. In addition to this podcast adaptation, New York Magazine’s editorial has been adapted into major television series and movies going back decades, including Saturday Night Fever, Inventing Anna, The Watcher, Hustlers, and Bad Education.
