BooksOnBoard Releases Bestseller List for First Half of August

In the first half of August, Stephenie Meyer once again tops the BooksOnBoard bestseller list with Breaking Dawn. Meyer’s Twilight Saga ebooks remain a fixture on bestseller lists, as does The Host, her novel geared toward an adult audience.

“Meyer’s Twilight Series, which includes Twilight, Eclipse, New Moon, and now Breaking Dawn, enjoys a huge fan base,” according to BooksOnBoard CEO Bob LiVolsi. “Fans anticipated the release of Breaking Dawn for months. Many of these fans prefer the ebook version since the paper books are extremely bulky; the ebooks are much more convenient and portable.”

Other bestsellers for the first half of July include The Last Theorem by Arthur C. Clarke, followed by When You Are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris, Nothing to Lose by Lee Child, Beyond Reach by Karin Slaughter, and the The Tin Roof Blowdown: A Dave Robicheaux Novel by James Lee Burke. Other bestsellers include Darwin’s Radio/Darwin’s Children by Greg Bear, The Obama Nation by Jerome R. Corsi, and The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch.

“The Obama Nation by Jerome Corsi has only been out for a few days, but it has already made the bestseller list,” said Nathan Johnson, BooksOnBoard’s Director of Operations. “Both fans and foes of Barack Obama are rushing to see what new light this extremely controversial work sheds on the popular presidential candidate.”

Nauti Dreams, the third novel in Lora Leigh’s Nauti Trilogy, topped the Romance bestseller list, followed by the latest installment of Lauren Dane’s Cascadia Wolves series, Fated. Sweet Dreams by Dana Marie Bell rounds out the top three. Other bestselling Romance authors include Kristan Higgins, Terri Brisbin, Patricia Briggs, Jo Davis, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Mackenzie McKade, and Susan Anderson.
