WEBWIRE

(SmallCapNewsRelease, July. 8, 2009) – Jericho, N.Y. – Alternative Fuel Technologies Inc. (OTC: AFTC) today announced it has received a second order from the Korea Institute of Energy for 4 more DME feed pumps. This order brings the total purchased by the KIER to 10.
KIER is adopting AFTC technology of DME as a gradual replacement for traditional diesel fuel to improve air quality and strengthen Korea’s energy security.

DME is one of the most promising alternative automotive fuel solutions among the various ultra clean, renewable, and low-carbon fuels under consideration worldwide. DME can be used as fuel in diesel engines, gasoline engines, and gas turbines. Only modest modifications are required to convert a diesel engine to run on DME, and engine and vehicle manufacturers, including Nissan (NASDAQ: NSANY) and Volvo (OTC:VOLVY), have developed heavy vehicles running on diesel engines fuelled with DME.

For more information on DME, please visit http://www.aboutdme.org.

Alternative Fuel Technologies Inc. is engaged in the design, development and prototype manufacturing of advanced fuel systems for use with a new alternative fuel -- Dimethyl Ether (DME). AFTC has developed practical, low-cost fuel injection equipment for DME fueled vehicles and currently provides complete DME fuel systems for testing and research purposes in addition to retrofit systems that can be used with most diesel engines.
