BATTLE CREEK, Mich., – Kellogg Company is honored to have been recognized by multiple publications and organizations this year for its ongoing commitment to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. Among these recognitions, today Kellogg was named one of the Working Mother 100 Best Companies for 2010.
“Our company has a long-standing commitment to fostering a work environment that values diversity and inclusion,” said Nathalie Davis, senior director, Diversity & Inclusion. “We recognize that it is our diversity that strengthens us and inclusion that will advance us. That’s why we depend on our people to draw on their different perspectives in order to contribute unique ideas and help us maintain and expand our success.”
In 2010, Kellogg has also been named:
* DiversityInc – 25 Noteworthy Companies for diversity
* Hispanic Business – Diversity Elite 60
* LATINA Style – LATINA Style 50 best companies for diversity
* National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) – Top 50 Companies for Executive Women
“These awards are an outstanding recognition of the dedication our employees demonstrate by celebrating and supporting diversity in their everyday actions,” Davis concluded.
Ongoing commitment to family-friendly benefits
Kellogg, along with the other organizations among the Working Mother 100 Best Companies, support family programs that help employees in all areas of their lives – including offering paid maternity leave, lactation rooms, flextime, mental health consultations and elder-care resources. In addition to these benefits, Kellogg also offers a robust health and wellness program.
“Twenty-five years ago, we made a bold decision to launch our Best Companies initiative and challenge businesses to address the unique needs of working mothers,” said Carol Evans, president, Working Mother Media. “The immense influx of women into the work force demanded changes in workplace culture as companies strove to keep working moms’ talent and loyalty. Today, we celebrate our winners’ untiring commitment to their employees through an impressive array of programs.”
