123Stores reports record Cyber Monday sales

123Stores, Inc, the Multi Channel Online Retailer, reported record sales over the long holiday weekend from Thanksgiving Day through Cyber Monday of over $2 million, a 243% percent increase over last year. The Company sold one item every 7 seconds on Cyber Monday.

“We saw tremendous growth over the long weekend and were happy at the pace of shoppers purchasing items from our catalogue”, 123Stores Founder Sharad Kajaria said in a release Tuesday. “This year we offered FREE shipping on all our 200,000 items and this was greatly appreciated by our Customers. We will continue with FREE shipping up to Christmas to help people with their holiday gifts. We invested heavily in our Supply Chain technology and saw great performance improvements. At the peak, Customer Orders were pouring in at more than 1 per second and our technology platform was able to place these orders seamlessly within a couple of minutes.”

Amongst the Company’s Marketplace Channel Partners, the Company saw tremendous growth across the board. The Amazon Marketplace, the Ebay Sales Channel & The Sears Marketplace each grew over 100% year on year where as Rakuten, Bestbuy & NewEgg saw impressive gains.

The Company expanded it’s product catalogue during the year and now offers 200,000 items for sale from over 1300 brands. “This year we had many brands tie-up with us for promoting their products online and we had great success with them. The top sellers for the long weekend were pet products, kitchen & dining items, art & craft items, appliances, doll houses and home items.
