LunaTrex Outreach Program begun by sponsoring University Rocket Team
Team LunaTrex is proud to announce its sponsorship of the University of Dayton Advanced Rocket Team (UDART).
A $2500 sponsorship will kick off the construction of their test-stand rocket system which will be tested at Jefferson Proving Grounds in southern Indiana later this spring. After this testing is complete, LunaTrex is committed to fund the fully flight-ready rocket, for launch sometime before year-end.
We hope that this effort will sponsor greater participation at the collegiate level in space technology and exploration. Though the amounts are small at this stage, the impact, we trust, will be much larger in the lives of the students involved.
We believe this is the point of the Google Lunar X PRIZE - to bring space exploration and its benefits to all humanity. Team LunaTrex will continue its efforts across all of its programs - from outreach to launching the winning entry - to prove that space is not only for big money or big government, but for all who have the entrepreneurial resourcefulness, drive, and moxy to reach for it.
Our hats off to a great effort by UDART and for the first of many successful launches Team LunaTrex is a part of.
